Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical (Med Surg)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour day shifts

Location: Wheeling, West Virginia

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate any changes to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records
• Ensure patient safety and follow all hospital protocols and procedures
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems to document patient care

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of West Virginia
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems, EPIC experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with telemetry
• Previous travel nursing experience

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
